De la Telefunken de mi padre a hoy
From my father’s Telefunken to today
Nací en Alicante en 1983 y crecí en una casa donde las cámaras siempre estaban presentes. Mi padre, taxista de profesión y fotógrafo por pasión, no hacía un solo viaje sin su cámara y su videocámara Telefunken. Gracias a él conservo un archivo lleno de recuerdos de mi infancia y, sobre todo, heredé algo mucho más valioso: la forma de mirar.
I was born in Alicante in 1983 and grew up in a house where cameras were always present. My father, a taxi driver by trade and a photographer by passion, never took a single trip without his camera and his Telefunken video camera. Thanks to him I still keep an archive full of memories from my childhood, and, above all, I inherited something far more valuable: a way of looking.
Con el paso de los años, aquella curiosidad dejó de ser una afición para convertirse en un estilo de vida. Desde entonces he dedicado mi carrera a la imagen, trabajando para marcas como Samsung, Sony, LG y GoPro en el sector de la imagen y el sonido, una experiencia que me ha permitido desarrollar una sólida base técnica y una forma de trabajar basada en el detalle.
Over the years, that curiosity stopped being a hobby and became a way of life. Since then I’ve devoted my career to image-making, working with brands such as Samsung, Sony, LG and GoPro in the image and sound industry —an experience that has given me a solid technical foundation and a way of working built on attention to detail.
También he creado contenido visual para hoteles de cadenas internacionales como Barceló, Accor y el Riu Plaza Times Square de Nueva York, además de colaborar con restaurantes y empresas que buscan transmitir su identidad a través de imágenes que conecten con las personas.
I’ve also created visual content for international hotel chains such as Barceló, Accor and the Riu Plaza Times Square in New York, as well as collaborating with restaurants and companies looking to convey their identity through images that connect with people.
Sigo disfrutando igual cuando encuentro esa fotografía que cuenta una historia. Da igual si es un restaurante que quiere transmitir su esencia, un retrato, un paisaje urbano en Nueva York o una perspectiva aérea capturada con un dron.
I still enjoy it just as much whenever I find that photograph that tells a story. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a restaurant wanting to convey its essence, a portrait, a New York cityscape or an aerial perspective captured with a drone.
Creo que una buena fotografía no solo se ve: se siente. Por eso, en cada proyecto busco algo más que una imagen bonita. Busco crear fotografías que transmitan confianza, personalidad y emoción.
I believe a good photograph isn’t just seen: it’s felt. That’s why, in every project, I look for something more than a pretty picture. I look to create photographs that convey trust, personality and emotion.
Porque al final, las cámaras cambian. La mirada, cuando nace de la pasión, permanece.
Because in the end, cameras change. The eye, when it’s born of passion, remains.
